Killing Fields Budder

Strain Used: Killing Fields
Extraction Solvent: Butane
Sativa/Indica: Sativa

Appearance: Dry off-white creamy chunks; consistency similar to that of dry bar soap, but flakier.

Aroma / Flavor: A Strong astringent citrus smell is given off from the dry concentrate. When smoked the flavor and aroma of the smoke becomes much more complex with hints of incense and haze.

Overall Effects: Killing Fields is a connoisseur grade sativa bred by Sannies Seeds that produces large yields of potent purple and pink sativa flowers. When concentrated into a budder the effects of Killing Fields are further pronounced, delivering a soaring dreamy haze-esque high along with a profound sense of objectivity. While the effects are very cerebral and “up” in nature, this particular concentrate is best used later in the day, as the high slowly evolves into a dreamy stone leaving most lackadaisical and ready for a nap.

Blue Dream Amber Glass

Strain Used: Blue Dream
Extraction Solvent: Butane
Sativa/Indica: Sativa

Appearance: Transparent shards of gold, orange, and amber – dry and brittle like glass.

Aroma / Flavor: Floral and fruity, ranging from dried apples to wild berries. The aroma transitions to flavor beautifully.

Overall Effects: While most concentrates found in the dispensary are geared towards those who need strong indica medicine, this Blue Dream Glass is refreshingly light and uplifting (While still packing serious potency). The delicate floral and fruity smoke is extremely smooth and flavorful with little lung expansion. Great for morning or day time use, the high is refreshing and cleanses the mind of unwanted clutter allowing one to focus on the task at hand with little distraction.

Pressed Kief

Strain Used: Unkown
Extraction Solvent: -
Sativa/Indica: Indica

Appearance: Light yellow trichomes, loosely pressed together to form clumps which break down easily. Plant matter (orange pistils and specs of leaf) is visible within sample.

Aroma / Flavor: Kitchen Herbs.

Overall Effects: I recieved this sample for free as a first time patient at a local dispensary, and while initially pleased with such a “freebee” it was easy to tell why it was free upon closer inspection. Kief generally smells similar to the strain it was made from, unfortunately it’s painfully apparent that this sample was made from imported mexican schwag or some bunk outdoor. When sprinkled on top of a bowl, the effects of the kief are murky and produce a mild cerebral buzz that borders on the verge of a headache. While this particular concentrate may not be appropriate for a heavy user or fan of higher quality extracts, it might be perfect for the light weight who’s looking to add an extra kick to there goodnight bowl while staying within their budget.

Pre-98′ Bubba Kush Amber Shard

Strain Used: Pre-98 Bubba Kush
Extraction Solvent: 91% Isopropyl Alcohol
Sativa/Indica: Indica

Appearance: Light amber / red / pink flakes of varying size. Has the appearance of shards of broken glass.

Aroma / Flavor: The distinct sweet coffee mocha kush smell of the Pre-98 is easily detectable when the product is brought to your nose, when smoked the flavor is similar with additional piney nuances.

Overall Effects: Like the Pre-98 Bubba Kush, this is heavy stuff. A sprinkle on top of a bowl or on your skillet will surely help bring an end to your day. Ideal for those in need of a strong natural sedative, appetite stimulate, pain distraction, or sleep aide – but not the greatest option if you plan on staying up and getting things done after consumption. The high is narcotic in nature, and felt mostly in the form of a strong body buzz and lethargy with little to no shift in mental perspective.

Og Budder

Strain Used: Og Kush
Extraction Solvent: Butane
Sativa/Indica: Hybrid

Appearance: This stuff isn’t called budder for nothing – it looks exactly like globs of overly yellow dry butter varying in size from cookie crumbs to a pencil eraser. The globs appear almost golden when held to the light and have a waxy consistency.

Aroma / Flavor: When done right, a good concentrate should retain the terpenes (flavor / smell) of the derivative strain, and when you crack the seal on this little jar there is no mistaking the astringent funk of the OG Kush. The smell transitions to flavor perfectly, filling your mouth with that unique taste of concentrated thc and kush that just seems to sit there. The budder shines in it’s ability to retain that awesome hashie kush flavor, without producing that bitter or black taste that occurs towards the end of the bowl on lesser quality hash.

Overall Effects: OG Budder is the crème de la crème of cannabis products. Fetching a higher price per gram than any bud, hash, or edible than I’ve ever come across and still flying off the shelves in Southern California and beyond. From the second this stuff hits your lungs you know your in for something special – smoother on the throat than most other concentrates I’ve come across, and explosively expansive once inhaled. The high is almost instant – soaring, lucid, and euphoric, with a profound sense of detachment and strong perceptual change. This stuff packs the kind of potency that makes your face sweat, and is sure to send even the pickiest of connoisseurs into a blissful stupor. This particular sample really retained the OG flavor down to the last puff, and I’m a strong believer in terpene presence enhancing / influencing the effects of cannabis and concentrates (Even if only at the most basic level of the smoking experience itself) – this stuff was truly top notch. Smoke with caution, as I found myself just as medicated an hour after onset as when it first kicked in – a true sign of this stuffs potency. Respect to the man or woman whipping this budder!
